Sloane Crosley popped up here months ago to answer questions about horror movies, and since then I've read and thoroughly enjoyed her book of essays, I Was Told There'd Be Cake. It was fun to open the Times this morning and see her personal history of alcohol consumption right there on the front page. -- cheers to Sloane, I shall raise an 11 AM highball glass to her health and good fortune.
